Sir Gary Sobers Schools Cricket Festival
Named after the renowned Barbadian cricketer and national hero
Sir Garfield Sobers, this annual tournament will be in its twentieth
season. It attracts school teams under nineteen years of age to
compete with their local, regional and international counterparts.
Many a member of current international cricket teams received great
exposure and instruction from their participation in this event – you
could be the next one! The tournament takes place throughout the
month of July and games are played at various venues throughout
the island.
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of nine cricket matches, but
if you are on a winning streak and progress well in the tournament
then this would increase to eleven in total.
