Ottley's Plantation Inn offers warm Caribbean hospitality and beautiful accommodation. Originally a 17th century sugar plantation, Ottley's Plantation Inn transports guest to a bygone era of gracious living, hospitality and elegance. Situated on 35 acres of rolling lawns and gardens in the foothils of majestic Mt. Liamuiga, with breathtaking views of the Atlantic, Ottley's is a magnificent Caribbean hideaway--a perfect, restful spot for travelers seeking a retreat from the hectic pace of daily life.
This romantic inn is blessed with a secluded, but not remote, location. The hillside location virtually guarantees breezes that are balmy year-round, and the natural setting provides panoramic ocean, mountain and garden views at every turn. Yet a drive of under 20 minutes can take you to the airport, historic Basseterre, the capital of St. Kitts and Nevis or to a choice of two Caribbean beaches.
ROOMS
The guest lodgings are in cosy cottages centred around the antique filled Great House, a pool and twelve acres of pretty grounds. Each one is individually and attractively furnished in colonial style with wooden floors, white walls and bright cotton fabrics.
With 24 rooms overall, the plantation's acclaimed plantation Great House and Caribbean cottage rooms, as well as the most luxurious St. Kitts villa, the Grand Villa, are decorated in English colonial style with wicker and carved mahogany furniture, cheerful floral chintzes and a collection of local artwork and crafts. Choice of rooms and suites. Cottage Sun Deck - 2-room Royal Suite cottages offer the ultimate in luxury and privacy at Ottley’s.
The extraordinary master bedroom is a Supreme room--spacious and luxuriously furnished with colonial style mahogany furniture and a king or queen bed. A Jacuzzi enhances the Italian tiled bathroom. A patio with sun deck and private plunge pool add to the romanticism of these private cottage rooms. Super Deluxe Room - Each Super Deluxe room is uniquely decorated and situated.
Most are in the historic plantation Great House, a couple are in cottages. All are very large, airy and beautifully appointed, with views of ocean and gardens. Most have king-sized beds, the others have two queen or twin beds. All rooms have veranda or patio, private bathroom, ceiling fan and air conditioning, room safe, coffee maker, blow dryer (110v,), iron and ironing board. Supreme rooms have minibars. Certain rooms can be outfitted with cable TV (should be requested at time of reservation).
Facilities and Dining
A spring-fed 66 ft. swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers and patios. Choice of two Caribbean beaches, local shopping in Basseterre and the acclaimed 18-hole Frigate Bay golf course. Tennis court and a croquet lawn, extensive grounds and cobbled trails through rain forest ravine. The Mango Orchard Spa overlooks our own lush rainforest ravine. Range of watersports.
Royal Palm Restaurant: The restaurant and 66-foot, spring-fed pool are nestled in the remaining stone walls of the old sugar factory. Enjoy tantalizing dishes with fresh island ingredients. Romantic candlelit dinners feature nightly changing, innovative menus. The Royal Palm is also renowned for Sunday Champagne Brunch and daily lunch served poolside.
