Discover the casual elegance of this sophisticated Bahamas hotel, Green Turtle Club & Marina. This vaction resort in the exotic Out Islands of Great Abaco is located on Green Turle Cay, an island just three miles in length, in the Bahamas Family Islands and reached only by boat.
The Green Turtle Club & Marina sits on a picturesque harbor surrounded by some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. With an enviable location, the Green Turtle Club & Marina is centrally located to be within a short golf cart commute of town and it is the only resort on Green Turtle Cay within an easy walk (less than 10 minutes) from the breathtaking beaches on the Atlantic side of the Cay.
ROOMS
Choice of accommodation from deluxe rooms to villas and apartments. Rooms are among the most upscale and luxurious in the Out Islands. Think England in the tropics, for the bedrooms boast Sheraton style mahogany furniture, French inspired draperies, oak floors, terra cotta tiled patios, and wicker or rattan furniture.
Deluxe Rooms are equipped with television/vcr units, hair dryers, tea kettles, tropical paddle fans, and air conditioning. An extensive complimentary video library including children's videos is available. Each room has a private patio with a view of the harbour.
Standard Waterfront Rooms: These waterfront rooms are individually decorated with a tropical decor and equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, and pine decks for sunbathing.
Villas are triplexes built out over the harbour at Turtle Point and consist of two deluxe rooms and a separate center unit. Villas center units are comprised of a living/dining area with kitchenette.
Facilities and Dining
The hotel also features a gift shop, a lounge area with TV and an exchange library, fresh water pool is 65 feet in length and is located overlooking the harbour, and has lounge chairs and umbrellas for your use.
From the Green Turtle Club there is about a 10 minute walk to two different beaches: Boat Hire is available through Donny’s Boat Rentals, and immediately next door to the club is Brendal’s Dive Shop offering Scuba and snorkeling excursions as well as bicycle rentals.
Golf cart hire is a must in order to explore this island, and this can easily be arranged through the hotel’s front desk. Ferries operate regularly between Green Turtle Cay and Treasure Cay offering the guest ample opportunities to play a round of golf on the Treasure Golf Course.
The highly acclaimed Club Restaurant features freshly caught Abaco seafood with a new menu nightly of World/Caribbean fusion cuisine. The Turtle Pool Bar and Grill sits high on a hill-top with spectacular views of scenic White Sound Harbour and serves up a variety of tropical frozen drinks and fast food type menu items. "Happy Hour" daily from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. |
