Eden Rock evolved from an imaginatively sited house built fifty years ago by Remy DeHaenen, a celebrated local adventurer. It was once the secret hideaway of Greta Garbo. In 1995, the property was bought by an English couple, David & Jane Matthews, who intended, initially, to use it as a holiday home.
However, a small bar was operating which was kept running, one thing followed another and five years later Eden Rock Hotel was invited to join the prestigeous Relais & Chateaux group of distinguished hotels. Now it is the most stylish chich spot in St Barts, if you are looking for a stylish hideaway look no further.
ROOMS
There are only 16 rooms and suites at Eden Rock all individually designed. All rooms have air conditioning, private facilities, mini-bar, in room safe, hair dryer, satellite TV and VCR. Some rooms even have individual bathrooms with showers carved out of the rock.
Cottages are full of Caribbean charm close to the sea and have private terraces.
Classic suites are either on the rock or the beach each decorated uniquely and in the luxury spirit.
Premium suites are all on the rock and have the very best of everything with breathtaking ocean terraces.
Heavenly Suites and Houses are all unique some on the rock and some on the beach giving you a taste of beach-front paradise.
The Big Beach House is directly on the beach with a walled garden and private pool and spectucular views of the ocean, a perfect setting for friends or family
Diamond Suite - This category is a rare opportunity for you to really spoil your partner, it is a loft suite at the very top as well as a beachfront house with its own infinty pool
Dining
Eden rock boasts 3 restaurants all of which are all are initmate and elegant. The food here at Eden Rock is divine and you will find that the quality of the restaurants means you dont need to go very far for a good choice of menus.
There are also 4 bars with choices from cocktails to vegetable juice.

Facilities
Eden Rock has a unique open air seawater spa created in the rocks which offers revitalising treatments which will help you relax into the mood of St. Barts. There are also some complementary water-sports availble such as snorkling, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking. The hotel can also arrange private boating day trips to nearby islands, all available from the beach; deep sea fishing, SCUBA diving and crewed sailing charters are also near at hand. |
