Discovery At Marigot Bay
Marigot Bay

Of all the memorable places on the stunningly beautiful island of St. Lucia, the one that seems to be best loved by visitors and St. Lucian's alike is Marigot Bay. Described by novelist James A Michener as "the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean," it has been photographed so many times that first-time visitors often experience a jolt of recognition.

This luxurious, boutique resort provides an intimate environment for guests with every possible modern facility, including the Lapli Spa, fitness centre, shopping, bars and restaurants for the ultimate holiday experience. Marigot Bay has provided a safe haven for yachts over the centuries and marina docks at Discovery provide for visiting luxury sailing and motor yachts.

In recent years, the bay has become a very well-known holiday destination with lively local restaurants and bars, a marina and now a luxury, eco-friendly hotel with a spa, fine dining and harbour-side bars.

FACILITIES
LAPLI SPA - Lapli means both "rain" and "blessings" in the Creole language. The spa is designed to reflect the Caribbean blues and greens of the sky and the ocean.

Extensive use of glass and an aqua colour scheme creates a relaxing and therapeutic ambiance. Each treatment room has its own private deck with an open-air shower. Lapli also features a Zen garden with ofuru wooden soaking tubs and massage cabanas.

The treatments use a mix of luxury, all-natural products with local treatments created by Caribbean herbalists. These make extensive use of aloe vera, hibiscus, cactus, sea moss, banana products and other locally-grown fruit and herbs. In addition to the Spa's Vichy wet room treatments, there is a full range of massage and beauty therapies available.

RESTAURANTS & BARS
The Boudreau Restaurant: Named after Walter Boudreau, the legendary schooner captain who sailed into Marigot Bay and built the first hotel fifty years ago, the elegant restaurant showcases Boudreau memorabilia and historical pictures. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you may start your day in a relaxed, casual setting overlooking the bay and enjoy the more formal, colonial setting in the evenings.

The Coffee Dock: A European-style coffee shop, serving breakfasts, all-day snacks, sandwiches and, of course, wonderful coffee. Outdoor seating with umbrellas around the dinghy dock on the edge of the inner bay.
Hurricane Hole Bar – Experience the original bar, famous among yachtsmen worldwide, with a panoramic view of the bay. The bar has been restored to its former glory with its original lighting and signage.

Pink Snail Bar: A chic cocktail bar, themed around the original "Dr. Dolittle" movie, which was filmed right here 40 years ago. Pink Snail features a pink glass and resin bar, with lighting by renowned designer Sharon Marston and cutting edge, big city design. This is the place to be seen in St. Lucia!

The Bakery: Our own bakery, producing a wide range of bread and pastries all day with an ice cream parlour and patisserie, in the pretty Marina Village courtyard garden.
