The Grenadines & St Vincent

The Grenadines are a string of islands that are supremely unspoilt and undeveloped, they are quite hard to get to but it almost as if they have been designed to stay that way.

A string of stunning cays attached to larger rain-forested islands these islands are the epitome of true island life. On these stunning individual islands nightlife is very rare in its place are peace and solitude. A small handful of hotels offer lavish accommodations and a way of life that ranges from bare-foot casual to informal elegance. The water is perfect for snorkelling and the Cays provide some fantastic sailing.

Caribbean Dreams

The Grenadines are a destination for the Caribbean Connoisseur that could be called a string of peals on the sea of lapis lazuli.

Known by the Caribs as Hairoun (“Land of the Blessed”), St. Vincent was first inhabited by the Ciboney, a grouping of Meso-Indians. The economy of these hunter-gatherers depended heavily on marine resources as well as the land. They used basic tools and weapons and built rock shelters and semi permanent villages.

Largest and first of the chain of Grenadines Islands, the name Bequia comes from the Carib word meaning "Island of the Clouds". Many yacht people from the countries like New Zealand, Australia, France, Belgium, Norway, Italy, South Africa, Canada, Great Britain and the United States think of Bequia as the "Jewel of the Grenadines". Picturesque Admiralty Bay well known for the Seventeenth Century pirates and the British, French and Spanish Navies is now found dotted with as many as 100 sailing yachts and other ships of calling.
